An array of student groups connected to Sorbonne War Studies:

PDSC - Panthéon-Sorbonne Défense Sécurité & Citoyenneté PDSC - Panthéon-Sorbonne Défense Sécurité & Citoyenneté 

 

PSDC is a nonprofit group established in 2016. The group brings together members of Université Paris 1 Panthéon–Sorbonne who want to draw attention to the issues of citizenship, defense and security. PSDC seeks to encourage reflection on these subjects and foster future engagement of all sorts, including volunteer civilian service, participation in reserves, and participation in nonprofit groups.

Its activities include crisis simulation, topical training and site visits, among others.

Politistes SorbonneLes Politistes Sorbonne

Les Politistes Sorbonne (The Sorbonne Politicos) is a group formed to represent the students of the Political Science department at Université Paris 1 and to stimulate student life within the department. The group focuses on the everyday aspects of students' lives. One objective is to foster a lively and dense extra-curricular environment via organization of cultural events and festivities. The group also has various educational activities, for instance, conferences related to political science, a welcome and integration weekend, and a pole focusing on international relations.

SONUSONU - Sorbonne pour l’Organisation des Nations Unies

The SONU group was founded in 2009 to build student awareness of the galaxy of United Nations institutions. In general, the group works within the university to promote the United Nations and international cooperation via a network of six offices, three poles and one internal unit.

Types of activities: Model United Nations (MUN) simulation exercises, debates, outreach coordination with offices of UN agencies.

ACCIS  ACCIS - Association Conflits et Crises Internationales de la Sorbonne

ACCIS organizes conferences on international relations, international security issues, defense, diplomacy, journalism, and crises, aimed at students in the second year of the master's cursus.

CapRMCapRM - L'association des étudiants du Master Gestion Globale des Risques et des Crises  / Association Cap Risk Management

This group of students enrolled in the master's program on global risk and crisis management was created in 2008. CapRM aims to promote this cursus, to propose activities related to the students' curriculum, and to maintain and consolidate a network of former students and graduates of the program. A council of program graduates ensures continuity within the association and brings its support to currently enrolled students.

Activities include crisis exercices, site visits and conferences.

Géo-Po

Géo Po - L'association des étudiants du master Géopolitique

Géo Po is the association of students in the Geopolitics master's program.

Its activity is to organize conferences.

MRIAEL'association des étudiants du master Relations internationales et action à l’étranger

MRIAE coordinates a network of solidarity between students and alumni of the International Relations and Action Abroad master's program, with a community of over 1,400 graduates. This community provides financial support for the group's activities, and works closely with the university staff who supervise the master's program in international relations. Its objectives are to cultivate an active student life, and foster ties between classes, offer public conferences and events with professionals, and enhance the visibility of the international relations program beyond the walls of Université Paris 1 Panthéon–Sorbonne.

Types of activity: conferences, reading notes and discussion, study tours, training in international negotiation.
